COVID-19 Update

LEVEL 2 (orange) - The following options will be available while Franklin County remains at alert level 2. Moving forward, library services will be made available based on the health advisory level for Franklin County, Ohio. For details, view this chart.

A limited number of public computers are available by appointment only. (Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied and chaperoned by an adult.)

  • Monday-Saturday: 10am-12pm, 2-4pm
  • Monday-Saturday: 3-4pm, 4:30-5:30pm (for students ages 0-18 only) 

Options include:

Printing during your appointment will be offered at no charge. If you need specific software or functionality that is not listed above, please contact us to inquire about availability.  

Wi-fi access remains available in the covered parking garage 24/7. 


I want to use a computer. What should I do? 

Please note the following guidelines:

  • Must have a valid Westerville Library card
  • Appointments available up to 14 days in advance
  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied and chaperoned by an adult
  • Other limitations may apply

Do I need to wear a face covering? 

Yes, a face covering is required. Please wear in accordance with CDC guidelines, unless you are exempt for medical or health reasons. In addition, a social distance of 6 feet will be required between people at all times. 

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes, you may bring a child or other member of your household with you and they can sit near you while you use the computer. You are responsible for their behavior at all times. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied and chaperoned by an adult.

I'm running late for my appointment. What should I do?

If you will be more than 15 minutes late, contact us to avoid automatic cancellation. 

When I arrive for my appointment, what should I do?

A staff member will meet you within 15 minutes of your appointment start time at the main entrance (access parking lot via Walnut St and Library Rd). At that time, you will be asked to provide your library card number and a staff member will escort you to the computer lab. 

I need help using the computer. What should I do? 

For contactless service, you may request remote assistance using this chat feature. Staff may also provide limited assistance at a social distance. If you need help with your personal device, please schedule an appointment for an online session

I need help with my school work. What should I do?

Staff can provide limited assistance, including helping you connect to an online tutor, find the right research tool, print, and more. 

Why aren’t all of the computers available?

Our top priority remains the community’s health and safety as we plan for a responsible restart to operations. Recommendations from government officials, local authorities, and health departments related to COVID-19 continue to guide our decisions.

This second phase features contact-less service. Limited access allows time for library staff to disinfect common areas. Library staff will also stagger shifts, wear face coverings, maintain social distancing, wash hands, and perform daily symptom assessments.

I don't have a library card. How do I get one? 

Fill out this online form. Then we'll contact you within 72 hours with your new library card number. 

What else should I know?
