Martin Gitlin spent the Saturday mornings of his youth watching cartoons and much of his adult life doing the same with his young daughters, who helped inspire him to author A Celebration of Animation: The 100 Greatest Cartoon Characters in Television History
. An award-winner as both an author and newspaper journalist, Gitlin has written about 150 books since 2006 in the realms of historical pop culture, sports, and history.
He has three grown children and currently lives in North Olmsted, Ohio, with wife Mitzi and very furry dog.
