What other limits are there?

How many items can I place on hold?

You are restricted from requesting more than 100 reserves (holds) at any one time. Note: Policies may differ for items requested from SearchOhio or OhioLINK.

How many items can I borrow?

You can have only 25 DVDs and Blu-rays. There is no limit to the number of other types of items (e.g. books, audiobooks, art prints, etc.) that you can have checked out on your account at any given time. Do keep in mind, however, that you will be held financially responsible for any items that you do not return on time.

Movie Restrictions for Children

Children cannot use their library card to check out movies rated PG, PG-13, R, NC-17, unrated or not rated without parental consent. With parental permission, children under 18 can check out movies above a G rating.

Parents can give permission when registering their child for a library card, or make changes to existing accounts by presenting a government-issued photo ID at the Welcome Desk.
