Where can I return items?

You can return items to the library 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Options

  • Return slot by the drive-thru window, on the north side of the library.
  • Return boxes in the covered parking area
  • Welcome desk in the atrium (during open hours)

FAQs

My item doesn't fit in the return bin.

Some items must be returned inside the library, including: art prints, baskets, guitarskits, and wi-fi hotspots. If you are unable to return these items during open hours, please contact us for alternative options: 614-882-7277 ext. 2 or customerservices@westervillelibrary.org.

I have a damaged item.

Please contact us at 614-882-7277 ext. 2 or customerservices@westervillelibrary.org. We can work with you to arrange a time for you to drop off the item for assessment. Or we can charge your account for its full replacement and you can pay the fee online.

I returned an item, but it’s still checked out to me.

If an item is still appearing on your account, but you believe you have returned it, you can request that we search the shelves for the item. To begin the process, contact us at 614-882-7277 ext. 2 or customerservices@westervillelibrary.org.

I have borrowed items from other libraries. Can I return those items to you?

We are only able to accept items that were originally checked out with your Westerville Library card (including SearchOhio and OhioLINK items). We are unable to check in and return borrowed items from other area libraries.
